Driver Education Grant Program

✅ Who’s Eligible?
- Wisconsin resident
- 14–19 years of age
- Eligible for or receiving free & reduced lunch
- Has not previously held a driver license
🚗 What the Grant Covers
The Driver Education Grant fully covers our Online Classic Program, which includes:
- 30 hours of online classroom instruction
- 6 hours of behind-the-wheel driving
- 6 hours of in-car observation
📚 Where You Can Use the Grant
- Certified public high schools
- CESA or Tribal education programs
- Private schools or DMV-licensed providers like CrashCourse
📋 How the Process Works
- Apply online using the official state application
- Receive a confirmation email with a one-time grant code
- Use that code when enrolling at CrashCourse
- CrashCourse submits the code, and the DMV pays tuition directly
Note: Grant funds now expire after 9 months if unused. Students may reapply.
Additional fees: Permit, road test, and license fees are not included.
