Driver Education Grant Program

🚫 The Driver Education Grant Application is currently closed. We are waiting to see if the State of Wisconsin will accept new applications. Fill out the form below to be notified the moment new applications are being accepted.

✅ Who’s Eligible?

  • Wisconsin resident
  • 14–19 years of age
  • Eligible for or receiving free & reduced lunch
  • Has not previously held a driver license

🚗 What the Grant Covers

The Driver Education Grant fully covers our Online Classic Program, which includes:

  • 30 hours of online classroom instruction
  • 6 hours of behind-the-wheel driving
  • 6 hours of in-car observation

📚 Where You Can Use the Grant

  • Certified public high schools
  • CESA or Tribal education programs
  • Private schools or DMV-licensed providers like CrashCourse

📋 How the Process Works

  • Apply online using the official state application
  • Receive a confirmation email with a one-time grant code
  • Use that code when enrolling at CrashCourse
  • CrashCourse submits the code, and the DMV pays tuition directly

Note: Grant funds expire if unused after 18 months. Students may reapply.
Additional fees: Permit, road test, and license fees are not included.

Disclaimer: Pre-registering does not guarantee you will be awarded a grant. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation determines eligibility and awards—not CrashCourse. We will notify you via email when and if the official application becomes available.
